Christmas on Willow Street in Brooklyn Heights
The host always provides the best food and everyone is in the holiday SPIRIT...spirit and more spirit...and the Christmas Tree was just decorated with the most beautiful ornaments, as well as those decoratively arranged in the apartment that just held my attention to continue admiring.
I want to thank the hosts for always inviting me; it is more than special when you connect with those that bring happy thoughts and will hold memories until we meet again and have a glass of cheers and a moment to share...the best in the New Year.

She allowed a perfect specimen
to slip away…
She’s a Contemporary Woman
In a vintage way…
“Are your possessions heirlooms?” He inquired.
“No…collections from my past.” She replied.
Ugh, but youth,
remains at bay.
“Safe!”…is all she can say.
She had no intention, to add
another possession
to her heirloom collection.
She’s a Contemporary Woman
in a vintage way.
She collects eyes,
the rest need not stay…

Jazz with Connection Works
Impossible Situations…
I ran to the subway on W. 14th to hop the #2 train and made it to Park Slope to hear jazz by Connection Works…It took less than twenty minutes from the city, and I arrived at Grand Army Plaza two blocks away is the new Brooklyn Conservatory Concert Hall at the corner of Lincoln Place and Seventh Ave. If you enjoy jazz, then this is where you can hear some of the most incredible musicians, five to exact, play with inspirational rhythm and although at times a bit on the abstract, they worked harmoniously to capture new sounds that for a $10.00 ticket, these guys had my head swinging, toes tapping while dreaming of places inspired to roam, a beautiful space and stage could easy pack more listeners yearning to hear creativity at it’s best. Daniel Kelly on piano was running his fingers across those black and white ebony keys, and drummer Rob Garcia is always in the pocket. Check out Connectionworks.org a non-profit organization that truly brings talent to the stage above and beyond what they collect.
There next gig is January 14, 2012

Alumni Share Industry Experience
A first time event GRAD/TALK gave BFA Advertising students an opportunity to speak with graduates from 2008 - 2011, who currently are working in the industry. The informative conversation which I attended was met with great enthusiasm not only from the majority of students in the Advertising Design Program at FIT, but also the alumni, and faculty members that attended. Questions with regards to how the industry looks for fresh ideas and constant interaction with their clients was not only informative but lead to how the industry has changed from working with just an art director and copy-writer to involving a creative technologist to create a team of three. Students that graduated shared their personal experiences from how clients expect their graphics to appear to how you need to learn HTML, Flash, typeface, web design and digital media programs, which effectively maintains client’s presence in a global competitive industry but also gives an edge for the team to successfully create an effective ad campaign.
